Short summary. WolfChat is a messaging channel
between you and the service team you deal with. You sign up yourself.
Registration is gated by an anti-bot challenge. Passwords must be at least 15
characters. Minimum age is 18, self-declared through a checkbox you must tick
before registration can proceed. Conversations are
not end-to-end encrypted, so our server and authorised staff
can read them. There is a list of prohibited content; messages that break the
rules can be rejected, and accounts that break the rules can be terminated.
This summary is for convenience only. The full text below is what binds.
1. Who provides the service
WolfChat is provided by PT Prima Sentra Digital Solusi, a
limited liability company incorporated under the laws of the Republic of
Indonesia and domiciled in Jakarta Utara. In this document, "we" means that provider and
"you" means the person using WolfChat.
The provider is a legal entity in the form of a limited liability company.
The app store listing name is WolfChat Messenger.
Provider name
PT Prima Sentra Digital Solusi
Postal address
Jl. Kalibaru Barat 16, Jakarta Utara, DKI Jakarta 14110
By signing in to WolfChat or using it, you agree to be bound by these Terms of
Service, including the Community Guidelines in section 6. If you do not agree, do
not use the service.
Our Privacy Policy explains what data is processed
and how. It forms part of these terms.
3. Who may use WolfChat
Minimum age is 18. WolfChat is not intended for children.
When you register you must tick a statement that you are 18 or older; without
that tick, registration cannot proceed. Enforcement goes no further than your
own declaration: we do not ask for a date of birth, we do not ask for
documents, and we do not collect or store any personal data in order to check
your age.
If we learn that
an account is used by a minor, we terminate it.
Self-registration is open. You create your own account
from the app. Registration is gated by a third-party anti-bot challenge, to
screen out automated sign-ups. Passwords must be at least 15
characters.
You use it as yourself. One account per person. Do not
share your account, and do not use someone else's.
You are not barred from the service, for example because
an earlier account of yours was terminated.
4. Your account and its security
Keep your password and your device safe. Activity through your account is
your responsibility.
Tell us immediately at abuse@wolfchat.id if you
suspect someone else is using your account.
You can request deletion of your account from the security settings in the
app, or by writing to the email above. How deletion works and what its limits
are is described in section 11 and in the
Privacy Policy.
5. Your conversations are not end-to-end encrypted
Read this section before you write anything in WolfChat.
WolfChat v1 does not use end-to-end encryption (E2EE). The
connection between the app and our server is protected by TLS. But because
there is no E2EE,
our server can read the contents of your messages, and
staff we authorise can read service conversations for support,
moderation, security, audit, and service-quality review.
Service conversations may also be read by quality (QA) evaluators who assess
how well staff replied. When a conversation is assessed, the customer messages
in that conversation are read too.
Notifications on Android are delivered through Google's Firebase Cloud
Messaging, so some notification data passes through Google's infrastructure.
The details are in the Privacy Policy.
So: do not use WolfChat for information that must not be accessible
to the service operator. Do not send passwords, PINs, one-time codes,
card details, or other secrets you would not entrust to us.
6. Community Guidelines: what is prohibited
These Community Guidelines are part of the Terms of Service. They apply to
everything you send through WolfChat: text messages, images, video, files, voice
notes, links, display names, profile pictures, and group names.
6.1 Prohibited content
Strictly prohibited, and grounds for immediate termination:
Child sexual exploitation. Any sexual material involving
a person under 18 — images, video, drawings, machine-generated images, links
to such material, attempts to solicit a child for sexual purposes, or content
that seeks to normalise it. We remove such content, close the account, and
report it to law enforcement where applicable law requires us to.
You must also not send, upload, or share:
Incitement to violence and terrorism. Threats of violence,
calls to harm people, glorification of or support for terrorist organisations
or violent groups, and instructions for making weapons or explosives.
Hate speech. Attacks, slurs, or calls to hate a person or
group based on ethnicity, religion, race, communal group, nationality, national
origin, disability, sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Indonesian law
refers to these grounds collectively as SARA.
Direct threats against anyone's safety, life, family, or
property — including threats dressed up as jokes.
Harassment and bullying. Repeated insults, intimidation,
stalking, sexual harassment, or continuing to contact someone after being asked
to stop.
Fraud. Scams of any kind: bogus investments, prize bait,
payment requests under false pretences, phishing, malicious links or
attachments, and impersonating another person, our staff, or an official
institution.
Spam. Unsolicited bulk messages, repeated promotions,
chain messages, advertising unrelated to the service, or high-volume automated
sending.
Sexually explicit content. Pornography, images or video of
sexual activity, and sexual material shared without the consent of the people
in it — including sharing someone's intimate images.
Copyright and intellectual property infringement. Sharing
works, software, films, music, or other material that is not yours and without
the owner's permission, and using someone else's trademarks or logos to
mislead.
Misuse of other people's data. Publishing another person's
personal data without permission — full name, address, phone number, national
ID number, bank account, photos, location, or health data — including doxxing
and sharing screenshots of someone's private conversations to humiliate
them.
Activity that is illegal under Indonesian law, including
online gambling, sale of narcotics, weapons, or other illegal goods, money
laundering, and distribution of malware.
Graphic violence and disturbing content shared without a
legitimate reason, and content that encourages suicide or self-harm.
6.2 Prohibited behaviour
Accessing accounts, rooms, or data that are not yours.
Attempting to breach, scan, or interfere with the security of our
systems.
Using bots, scripts, or automation to send messages in bulk or to harvest
other users' data, without our written permission.
Placing an unreasonable load on the service, for example by flooding
messages or uploads.
Circumventing or attempting to circumvent technical limits, content
filtering, suspensions, or blocks — including creating a replacement account
after your account was terminated.
Selling, renting, or transferring your account to someone else.
7. Automatic filtering and rejected messages
You agree that the text of the messages you send
may be checked automatically by our systems to enforce the
Community Guidelines above — and that a message detected as breaking those
rules may be rejected, so that it is never delivered.
What is NOT checked automatically today: the contents
of attached files (images, video, audio, documents), display names, and
group names. All three remain subject to the Community Guidelines and can
still be acted on after a report — only the automatic filtering does not
apply to them.
The sentence above previously said attachments, display
names, and group names were also checked automatically. It was narrowed
on 7 September 2026 to match what the system actually does. If the scope
is widened later, this sentence is widened in the same release.
Beyond automatic checks, authorised staff may review the contents of a
conversation when there is a report, a suspected violation, a legal obligation,
or a security need.
Automatic checking is not perfect. It can wrongly reject a message that breaks
no rule, and it can miss one that does. If your message is rejected and you
believe that is a mistake, write to abuse@wolfchat.id and
we will review it.
We also apply reasonable technical limits — such as file size limits and
message rate limits — to keep the service healthy.
8. Reporting abuse and blocking users
Reporting
From inside the app: long-press the message in question
and choose the report option. You can write the reason. The report reaches our
team together with a reference to the message and the room.
By email: write to
abuse@wolfchat.id. Include the username you are
reporting, when it happened, and a short explanation.
We aim to review every report within 24 hours of receiving it
and to take appropriate action — including removing content and terminating the
offending account.
Blocking
You can block another user from the app settings. Once blocked, that person's
messages no longer reach you. To be honest about what this does: blocking works
by telling the server to stop delivering that person's messages to you — the
messages they send still reach the server and are still stored there under the
applicable retention schedule, they are simply never passed on to you. Messages
you already received before blocking stay in your conversation.
Blocking and reporting are different. Blocking stops that person's messages
being delivered to you; reporting tells us, so that we can act.
9. Consequences of breaking the rules
If you break these terms, we may take one or more of the following actions,
depending on the severity and history of the breach:
Warning. We tell you what was wrong and ask you to
stop.
Content removal. The offending message, attachment,
display name, or group name is removed or rejected.
Restriction. Some functions are limited temporarily, for
example the ability to send attachments.
Suspension. The account is deactivated temporarily and
active sessions are revoked. We record the reason.
Termination. The account is closed permanently.
For serious breaches — in particular child sexual exploitation material,
credible threats of violence, or attacks on our systems — we may terminate the
account immediately without a prior warning, and report it to law enforcement
where the law requires or permits us to do so.
If you believe our action was wrong, you can appeal to
abuse@wolfchat.id. Include your username and your
explanation. We review appeals and reply.
10. Your content and intellectual property
Your content stays yours
The messages, images, files, and voice recordings you send remain yours. We do
not claim ownership of them, we do not sell them, and we do not use them for
advertising.
So that the service can work, you grant us a limited,
non-exclusive, royalty-free, revocable licence to store, copy, transmit,
display, back up, and reformat your content — solely to operate, secure,
moderate, audit, and quality-review this service. This licence is no broader than
those purposes require, and it ends when your content is deleted from our systems,
except for backup copies still within their retention window and copies we are
required by law to keep.
Ours and other people's
The name WolfChat, the wolf emblem, the wordmark, and the
visual identity of this service are ours. Do not use them for another product,
and do not use them in a way that makes people think you are us.
The software itself is open source — see section
12.
Copyright complaints
If you own rights and find your work shared on WolfChat without permission,
send a notice to abuse@wolfchat.id including: what
the work is, evidence that you are the owner or their agent, where it appears, and
how to contact you. We review it and, if substantiated, remove it.
11. Storage, deletion, and technical limits
WolfChat is not an archive. Messages and media are deleted
automatically from the server after the applicable retention period — 180 days
at the time this document was written. That number has exceptions you should
know about: for photos, videos and files the clock starts from the
last time the file was opened, not from when it was uploaded,
so frequently opened files last longer; the most recent message in a
conversation is not deleted; and structural records of a conversation — group
names, topics, and the record of who joined or left — are not deleted at all.
The details are in Privacy Policy section
6. Keep your own copy of anything you need long term.
There are technical limits on upload size and sending rate. These limits may
change without specific notice.
Account deletion. You can delete your account from the app.
Some data may persist longer in system backups for the duration of the backup
retention window, and in records we must keep for legal or security reasons. The
retention schedule is described in the Privacy
Policy.
Messages you have already sent to other people cannot always be withdrawn
from their copy of the conversation.
12. Open source software and attribution
WolfChat is a derivative work of
FluffyChat,
an open source Matrix client.
Licence: GNU Affero General Public License version 3 or later
(AGPL-3.0-or-later). The full licence text ships inside the source
code, in the LICENSE file and
LICENSES/AGPL-3.0-or-later.txt.
WolfChat contains modifications we made on top of that work. Those
modifications are also licensed under AGPL-3.0-or-later.
Other bundled components — third-party libraries, fonts, and sound files
among them — carry their own licences. The list and the licence texts ship with
the source code.
Source code offer (AGPL section 13)
Because we run the WolfChat web client for you over a network, AGPL section 13
requires us to offer the source code of the version you actually run. We offer it
to all WolfChat users, at no charge beyond the cost of copying, if any:
We do not claim the upstream code as our own, and we do not remove the legal
notices of its original authors.
13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". We work to keep WolfChat
running and secure, but we do not promise that it will always be available,
uninterrupted, or error-free, or that every message will be delivered on time.
Maintenance, network outages, and device failures happen.
Do not use WolfChat for emergencies. It is not an emergency
service. In an emergency, call your local emergency number or emergency
services.
We are not responsible for the content of messages sent by other users, for
decisions you make based on the contents of a conversation, for third-party
services outside our control, or for loss arising because you shared credentials
or other sensitive data through a channel we have plainly told you is not
end-to-end encrypted in section 5.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, our liability is limited to direct
loss that is actually proven, and we are not liable for indirect loss, lost
profits, lost data, or loss that could not reasonably have been foreseen. Nothing
in these terms limits liability that Indonesian law does not allow to be
limited.
Fees. Your WolfChat account is provided to you at no charge.
If a charge is ever introduced, we will tell you in advance and you are free to
stop using the service.
We may change or discontinue the service. If we discontinue
WolfChat, we will try to tell you beforehand through the app or the available
contact channels, with reasonable notice.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update this document, for example because features change, the law
changes, or we find wording that needs to be clearer.
Every version carries a version number and an
effective date at the top of the page.
For significant changes — for example those affecting content rules,
account suspension, or liability — we notify you through an in-app message or
the available contact channels at least 14 days before they take
effect, unless the change must take effect immediately for legal or
security reasons.
If you keep using WolfChat after a new version takes effect, that means you
accept it. If you do not agree, stop using the service and ask us to delete
your account.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of
Indonesia.
If there is a dispute, contact us first at
abuse@wolfchat.id. Most matters are resolved at that
stage. If no resolution is reached within a reasonable time, the dispute is to be
settled by the competent courts of Indonesia, namely the
Pengadilan Negeri Jakarta Utara.
If a court finds any part of this document unenforceable, the rest remains in
force.
16. Which language prevails
This document exists in Indonesian and English.
If the two versions are interpreted differently, the Indonesian version
prevails. The English version is provided for convenience.
